Damn! Did Alanis nail this one or what! I do not agree with her politics and feel that she is bit of a nut, but the girl can sing! This probably her best rendition of a song ever. You don't just sing a song like this. You sing it for somebody. The story is she wrote this song for her twin brother who was seriously ill when she wrote it. Because it is a special song to her, she only sings it live. She has never included this song in any albums. It is only on her MTV:Unplugged EP.

What always has struck me about Joanie is that she has this look most of the time like "the cool chick." The one who would hang out in the dive honky tonk bars. Maybe even be married to your biker friend. She has always been hot. But when she cleans up a bit, nice hair and some lipstick, she is drop gorgeous. I would love to meet her someday. Sit across from her at a table, have a beer and chat for a few minutes.

1990 to 1999 was a great decade for rock. I keep waiting for another era of 60s or 90s music to come along, but everything these days is total crap. What really bugs me is I'm sure there is good music out there, but the radio wouldn't play it even if the artists were signed.
