LONDON — It's known as the home of 'The Whopper' and Burger King is hoping its latest product really lives up to its reputation. The fast-food giant launched a $200 burger Wednesday — all in the name of charity.

Setting a new record, the world's most expensive burger is available at just one restaurant in West London, England, once a week — but it will eventually be available to order via a hotline.

The fine ingredients of what is called simply 'The Burger' include Wagyu beef, white truffles, Pata Negra ham slices, Cristal onion straws, Modena balsamic vinegar, lambs lettuce, pink Himalayan rock salt, organic white wine and shallot infused mayonnaise in an Iranian saffron and white truffle dusted bun.

The photo makes it look quite appetising considering it's Burger King. I may have to try one, in the name of research of course. ;)

Burger King has the worst fries of any fast food joint. And I hate their scary "Burger King" commercials. I have no opinion on this burger.:p

This is basically a charity burger. It's all in a good cause.

I'm just not food-motivated enough to go for stuff like this but it's probably a neat conversation item for someone who is going to give to a charity anyway.

There would be no doubt if I could find the one I used to have, with the King at your front door spreading his arms and saying, "I'm here for your soul".

Burger King has the best fries. Honestly, it's the only reason I go there. The only thing I'll eat from there is the Chicken Sandwich.

I agree about the fries, but I also like whoppers. McDonald's hamburgers upset my stomach, Wendy's quality has slipped since Dave died, and White Castle reams on my stomach more than McDonalds.

That made me LOL. He is so dang creepy. Who in the world thought that would be a good character for a marketing campaign?

For a good burger, you can't beat Culvers. Have those made it to Detroit yet? They had one open in Lansing a few years ago.

No one is being forced to buy this burger, and any of those liberals complaining about third world hunger can go after the pie eating contests instead.
