I don't know what the weather is outside today. I'm still coughing and froggy, and haven't left the house since Monday. Still, Christmas was very nice.

TOTD: Did you get fun stuff? What were your favorites? My husband gave me the usual Chanel tribute (always welcome), a lovely grey cable cashmere sweater, and a big gift certificate to my favorite store, Eileen Fisher. :D

Seasons 1 and 2 of Dexter, various cool "Dad" gifts from the kidlings, Halo 3, goodies from Betty's Tea shop in Harigut England, a couple of loose movies, and the big surprise from the day before Christmas:

A new shaving brush and mug and some shaving soap, a new pair of fuzzy slippers (which I have to exchange for larger) and a really nice shirt. Batman the Dark Knight movie and an electric Emeril grill thingy. Nice.

The dog was given to me by a neighbor's grandkid after she had a stroke a couple of days before Christmas. As far a real gifts, my sister in law gave me a pair of really nice Dr. Pepper Pajama Pants and a leather Dallas Cowboys Motorcycle Jacket. I can only imagine what she paid for that.

My lovely wife Yvette gave me a pair of Oakley sunglasses, a Playstation 3 and Gears of War 2. She also gave me the ultimate guy movie...Dumb and Dumber.

Mrs. Speedy dispises this movie. Won't sit through even the opening credits, but she understands that it is a "guy thing" so in a way I guess she does get it.:D

No kidding. No woman would waste more than five minutes on that movie.

That's because women have no sense of humor. Dumb and Dumber rocks.

You are wise.

Women also tend not to like the Three Stooges and Chuck Jones cartoons. Poor creatures.

They also have no appreciation for the hardwork and sacrifice that Ron Jeremy has put in to be such an inspiration to fat, hairy, greaseball like us.

You take a woman out and next thing they are gonna want to talk, and you are going to have to listen...

Bitch, if I wanted to talk to you, I would call you on the phone!

I do like a scene with some emotion in porn sometimes. Like when he shows he loves her by letting her know he is getting close. Sure, he still grabs her by the back of the head and makes her take it, but at least he let her know and that is cool.

A few weeks ago, I attended a Christmas party for Flynt Publications and Ron Jeremy was there along with many other "movie stars." LOL! When I first saw him, I said, "who is that ugly guy?" and I was told he was a huge porn star. Apparently he is known as the "hedgehog." The name certainly fits...at least the hog part. I was also told he has a PhD in education.

If the guy is happy at what he does, more power to him. Ick!

LOL! Well, I saw it when it first came out in 1994 (I was 17). It's one of those movies that is so stupid, it's funny. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but it's better than watching a Hallmark movie.

Late, I know, but here's some of my favorites from the awesome haul I got:
1. A beautiful handmade blanket my mom made decorated with fishing pictures, for our cabin in Canada.
2. A copy of the book 'Why Courage Matters,' by John McCain (I had thought a lot about the topic of courage for the last few months).
3. My brother in California sent me an awesome collection of comic books. I regrettably didn't get him anything, but I'll make it up to him in a couple months by getting some very valuable Superman comics of his autographed by one of their writers at the Megacon convention in February, then shipped to him.
4. Two DVDs I had really been asking for: The 2- Disc Special Edition of 'The Dark Knight,' and the complete first season of 'Reaper.'

Now, I adore the Stooges and Chuck Jones, so that's an indicator that Dumb & Dumber really is crap. Also, "Larry the Cable Guy" is the most un-funny standup ever.
