View Full Version : The RNC called me today looking for a hand out
I told them I was holding on to my money until I see who is elected RNC chairman, and what direction he's planning on taking the party. I also called the poor, unfortunate call bank worker that I was tired of the tax cut and spend Republicans that were being elected, and I wasn't going to spend one more cent on the GOP until I was sure they were going to field more conservative candidates. She said she understood, tha she'd heard that from several people already, and wished me a good evening.
Meaningless gesture, I know, but you've got to stand for something.

They hear it enough, it may make a difference.
Actually, when it affects donations they may notice.

Inertia, especially in politics, is a bitch to overcome.

Same here. The current crop of republicans spend more tax money than drunken democrats during an election cycle.

I have not given to the RNC since 2000. I give to the club for growth mostly now.

Withholding your dollars - good.
Withholding your vote - even better.

I will give only in a minimal way to the committee, but I will give more to candidiates whose positions I support.
Are there any Conservate PACS that anyone would recommend?

I'll give to individual candidates, but not to the GOP for now.

I told them the EXACT same thing when they called me, Moon.
They're hearing it from a lot more than a "few" people they are calling.
Question is, will they decide to listen?

They're going to have to, or find some new way to fund campaigns.
