Hello,

I grew up in a far right household in certain ways, but explored liberalism in order to become more well-rounded on the views. I have to concur to an extent with the commonly attributed quotation to Churchill, "If You Are Not a Liberal at 25, You Have No Heart. If You Are Not a Conservative at 35 You Have No Brain."

I don't want to be the sacrifice.

My concern is that in this world, conservative makes sense for survival, but what about for those who believe in life after death, does conservatism seem evil? Granted, I help others as often as I am able, but I find I am often burned. Not sure what the best medium is.

Thoughts?

I've been under the impression that many conservatives think they're the only ones going to Heaven, go figure.

I just saw the new posts! Thank you!

I am not a Leftist/ Weak ass, but I am concerned about everyone being able to benefit. Who gets to determine true merit?

I am not singling out Christians; anyone with the belief of consequences of not living in a compassionate way despite merit, etc will find this fear valid.

I do lean much more right, but find that oligarchy often gets treated as conservatism.

Reminds me of an old joke ...

Didja hear the one about religious show-and-tell day at school? As symbols of their religions a Catholic kid brought a crucifix, a Jewish kid brought a Star of David, and the Baptist kid brought a casserole, as a symbol of potlucks.
