Bennie Hill is awesome.
Fawlty Towers is classic stuff too. There were only ten or tewelve episodes but they were really good.
Monty Python, Faulty Towers and Absolutely Fabulous were the bomb! Nothing funnier!
I love to learn about foreign cultures and YouTube has really opened my eyes to foreign music. I'd say that about a quarter of the songs on my computer (almost 1700) are in a language other than English and of those, all but a couple were ones I first found on YouTube. This also applies, to a lesser extent, to other songs. Namely, I hear song on radio, remember it (but don't remember if it was worth buying), head to YouTube for another listen, possibly buy song. I really think this article highlights something I've wanted to tell the record companies for some time. In addition to just songs, lots of people have made great videos and music videos using copyrighted songs which have subsequently been pulled. I don't know that this is targeted, but there were once lots of great Iraq war tributes which are no longer available.
