45. Personally, I didn't expect him to be a liberal President and
I believe those who did expect that weren't listening during his campaign. He wasn't my first choice, but to expect Pres. Obama to suddenly turn liberal is ridiculous.

53. How just expecting him to try to keep at least some of his
campaign promises? Like opposing mandated insurance, because in his opinion, 'it would require an enforcement mechanism and it would not be just to force people to buy something they cannot afford'??
For me, the only real difference between him and Hillary WAS his position on healthcare reform. She DID support Romneycare mandated insurance and that made up my mind.
So now, his only explanation for these major flip-flops is that his 'thinking has evolved'. Too bad for us but I would call it 'devolved thinking'.
So stop with the talking point that 'we knew what we were getting'. No, we did not. We thought we were getting a Democrat. We knew were getting a human being, we thought we were getting one that cared about the people who elected him, what we got is someone who caters to big business every chance he gets and who has basically told those who elected him to 'get lost' or 'grow up.
Someone who equates his Democratic Base with the radical rightwing of the Republican Party every chance he gets to show how 'bipartisan' he is. Someone who has allowed his COS to insult and demean and exclude those who put them where they are. NO! IF we had known this, in fact IF I had known who is cabinet was going to be, I would NEVER have supported him.
I learned one lesson though. Insist on knowing from all future presidential candidates, who they intend to appoint to their cabinet. If they refuse to reveal that or try to weasel out of it, I will not support them.
'We should have known'!! That really is the most inane talking point of the Obama apologists. If we were talking about a Republican, then it might apply, but we are talking about a Democrat.

11. I must admit that I am also having a hard time
when I see his picture or hear his voice. He had so much good will given to him and he is squandering it away. Sad.
Here's a best of:

if you're looking for a place to put your eggs.

48. Actually, eggs have been at the root of JE's problems as of late.
Well. An egg, anyway.
