New law thrashes genetic science
President Bush moves us closer to socialized health care by signing a new law which requires that insurance companies ignore a person's genetic risk factors in the sale of health insurance (anyone with sound knowledge of economics should understand the serious ramifications of this). Thomas A. Bowden, an author, attorney and fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute, sent out a press release regarding this, explaining the moral and practical consequences of the new law.
Incidentally, here's a great radio broadcast from 1961, where Ronald Reagan speaks out against socialized medicine. Very inspiring.
