Deeanna surprised me today by saying we should make some Peanut Brittle. I said I did not know the first thing about making it and she said she and her mom made it quite often and she knew how.

Two cups sugar.

One cup corn syrup

I want some, I love peanut brittle!
Mix water, sugar and syrup together and heat to 250 degrees

At 250 degrees add peanuts and heat to 290 degrees.

While the mix is heating to 290 degrees, butter a couple of glass pans

at 290 degrees add 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Quickly stir it and pour it into the buttered pans. Let it cool and enjoy.

Deeanna added some food coloring to a batch. I enjoyed a good daddy moment making candy with my girl.
