Hello from Oklahoma (sometimes Alaska)
Hello, I go by the screen name "Orthodox Presbyterian", in reference to the first Reformed Church in which I held communicant membership; although my wife and I are presently members of our local Southern Presbyterian church (PCA). But just plain "OP" is fine, too.
I'd consider myself an amateur enthusiast for Calvinist Theology (particularly Political Theonomy), Austrian Economics, History (particularly church and military), strategy wargames for recreation, and the Paul political family. Though I like a lot of Sarah Palin's views, also.
Mrs. OrthodoxPresbyterian is half Mexican, about a quarter Jewish (mainly Sephardic and Mizrahi, by way of her Hispanic heritage), enjoys joining me for the occasional wargame, and is a big fan of Sarah Palin. Though she likes a lot of the Pauls' views, also.
OrthodoxPresbyterian,Junior is... well, he's a baptized Presbyterian. At all of 3 months old, that's about all we can say about him for sure, yet.
I've previously served locally as a Republican Precinct Chairman, but I'm not always a straight-ticket Republican; I have voted Libertarian for President, as a good-faith protest vote, when they've run a Pro-Life candidate (Anti-Abortion is a litmus test issue for me, though). Other than that, though, I've probably voted Republican for the down-ballot races about 95% of the time... may have voted Constitution Party for one race, but I'm usually pretty solidly Republican -- albeit, sometimes, only for lack of better alternatives.
I live in Oklahoma and have actually only been to Alaska twice; once, years ago, when I worked on the salmon and crab fishing boats for about 6 months over the summer, and a couple years ago when I took Mrs. OP on honeymoon in Alaska. Nonetheless, we hope to visit The Great White North from time to time in the years ahead, and both have an especial fondness for Alaska. That is, once a decade-or-so whenever we can get up there to visit.
Best, OP
