Red pepper cheddar dip
Getting started early for tomorrows Football games. Saw this dip in a Cuisine magazine and wanted to try it. Very tasty!!
3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup bottled roasted red peppers, diced
2 tsp tabasco sauce
salt to taste
2 pieces thick bacon, diced
3 scallions, sliced
Blend all ingredients except bacon and scallions in a food processor until smooth.
Saute bacon until crisp; drain. Reserve some bacon and scallion for garnish, then fold the remainder into the mixture. Chill for at least 1 hour.
We are serving with breadsticks.
