Happy and joyous Independence Day to all. Even though I am still recovering from surgery and will be lighting off fireworks one-handed today, I hope and pray for our great country that it continues and remains the great beacon of individual freedom and liberty to the entire world.

We're shooting off fireworks tonight, as we always do...looking forward to see what colorful stuff my brother got for us. All the neighbors come to my parents house after dark as there is always a nice show over the lake.
