You can be gone a long weekend. Just put out water and dry food. Yes, you'll come home to a full liter box(s), but that's why I had a cat door built that leads to the garage. It doesn't stink up my house.

I have a dog and a cat. They get along, for the most part. They are both pretty old, now, but my dog is much bigger (45 lbs to 5 lbs), so the dog always wins when they do fight.

My cat has always been fascinated by my mom's little rat dogs. She has a Yorkie and a poodle/Schitzu mix.

Big dogs keep you warm on cold nights. They stay in your bed all night every night, they don't steal your money and they never mistreat you.
