Where in the world am I?

Looking for exact location. There are at least 2 CUers that should know it:

Without more information, I don't know which subway station it is, but it's got to be near one of the major art schools or museums. I'm going to say that it's near the Museum of Modern Art or Cooper Union.

I haven't lived in NY for 30 years but I think these things are spread out as a " Life Underground" exhibit. I have no clue what stop it is.

Pat, I didn't know you lived there. Whereabouts were you?
I first went there in the 80s, and I've spent a lot of time there. The city has changed a lot in that time.

The pic was taken in the 7th Ave/14th St station. I think there are some of the same artist's works at 42nd St/PABT.

Oh I didn't live in the city, I lived in Central Islip, Long Island. Made plenty of trips in there though!
