She was the first nanny, mother of most of the flock. She tore half her udder on something and I had to put her down today.

Sorry to hear that Rock, you must get so fond of them. Goats are so cute. :blue:
Nanny was hard to fence in and could be frustrating at times, I started with a 700 volt fence and had to go to 10,000 volts to keep her in, a fencer like that is not cheap. A shock that would knock you to your knees would just make her flinch a little and she would slide under the wire and be in the middle of the neighbors yard.
Sorry about Nanny. When I saw the title, knew it wasn't good. Have seen too many messages like that in my greyhound group. She sounds like she had a strong personality---probably why you liked her so much. I miss my little unpaid job in the goat yard at the St Louis Zoo children's zoo. They were sweet and the kids loved them.
