I'm only speculating here, but the BIG question may well be WHEN did he die? If he was dead when the paramedics arrived then it's likely he died when the officer had his knee on his neck.

But, if he was alive when the paramedics arrived and then died, What did he die of? A drug overdose? Or something else? What was his condition when the paramedics arrived? If you can talk you can breath. Anxiety/stress can give the feeling that you cannot breath even when you are breathing. Was he breathing when he was talking but then more force was applied that shut off his trachea? Or - Did he die from the knee being on the carotid artery - that can cause a slow heartbeat - dangerously slow, fainting, and worse if it is occluded.

Determining the cause of death is key. An autopsy and lab results take time.
OBAMA'S H1N1 VIRUS: From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus.

Well, it looks like my including that "If" was an appropriate caution, https://thehill.com/homenews/state-w...t-rush-charges .

This isn't the place to talk about Gateway Pundit's foible, but among ConservaBloggers they're middling in the Worst-Best spectrum, IMO.

I'll make a little bet right now, the knee to the back of the neck is in their training to restrain someone, makes no difference if they are still resisting or not, it would be pretty hard to say he killed someone using his training. It might be a shock to learn the guy died from a drug induced death or a heart attack or maybe he ran out of breath trying to get away. We'll see how they try to pin it on the policeman. It isn't hard to decide who I would trust, a career thug or a career policeman who has to confront these people every working day and I wouldn't have his job if I had to starve to death.

New Video Shows Other Cops Kneeling On George Floyd As He Gasped That He Couldnít Breathe
ALLAHPUNDIT, Posted at 11:21 am on May 29, 2020
NBC went through the clip and matched some of the signs and objects nearby to those seen in the original Floyd video, just to make sure that this footage really is of him in his final minutes and not of some other arrest. Youíd like to think there canít be too many incidents happening in the U.S. every day where groups of cops press the air out of a guy while he screams that heís dying, but who knows.

CNN notes today that some police departments prohibit officers from putting their knee on a suspectís neck but the Minneapolis PD allows neck restraints in certain circumstances, using either light pressure without cutting off the airway or in rarer cases enough pressure to render the subject unconscious. But there are a few problems with that in Floydís case.

Both [techniques] can only be conducted when a subject is resisting arrest, per the policy, and unconscious neck restraint is allowed only when subjects are aggressively resisting and canít be subdued in another manner.
The video is embedded. AllahPundit doesn't say it outright, but with Floyd having been cuffed and two other officers limiting his movement, there was no justification for Officer Chauvin to remain on Floyd's neck, not even the hypothetical possiblity that Floyd would try to resist if Chauvin got off his neck.

Where/when he was pronounced dead won't make much difference if officer(s) are charged. OTOH, whether the suffocation caused Floyd's death directly or was one element in causing his death - e.g. a preexisting medical condition, or drugs in his system - could affect what any charges might be.

It's a double whammy. The police stand by one another like no other cult. And it absolutely is a CULT."
Is that why he was almost immediately fired, and has been brought up on charges that it's pretty much guaranteed he'll be convicted of and sent to prison for, you ungrateful sack of crap?

So, DU-Moron sfstaxprep has a sign on his front porch/door and a bumpersticker on his/her car advising all who see it that (s)he will refuse to call police if (s)he is a crime victim?

BTW, I believe two of the three not-yet-arrested police officers have what looks like East Asian family names.

Time is running together very bad for me, Levin just said it took 3 days from incident to today's arrest of the main officer. That's pretty fast, ain't it?

I know, the DUmp wouldn't be happy unless the officer was lynched on the spot, regardless of his level of guilt, but that's good turn around, IMNSHO.
