anyhow - we need to stop anthropomorphizing animals.
Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.

carrots. :p The point is - animals are NOT people. They are not equivalent to us - they are lesser beings. People who are indignant over what was done to these cats should ask themselves - am I more indignant over this - or over kids starving in third world countries?

I can be very indignant over both! There is no reason to mis-treat animals. I believe that God gave us dominion over the world, and all the creatures in it, therefore while I feel that it is perfectly acceptable to use animals for meat, leather, fur, and work animals, there is no reason to cause them unnecessary pain, or to abuse them.

It wouldn't kill them like antifreeze or warfarin, but it will sure make them sick.
A baby cats digestive system is not built to handle palm stearates, a good case of the runs can easily kill a kitten.

Putting "coffee whiteners" in your coffee will kill YOU too, it just takes longer.

The practice of declawing felines is illegal in the United Kingdom. Docking of canines' tails is not, but is in the US. Go figure.

Either way a vet involved. We don't allow DIY surgery on humans, either.

I don't have a problem with docking or even de-barking. I just don't think that amateurs need to be involved.

Uhm, I know a lot of dog breeders who do tails, ears and dewclaws themselves.
Not for me, but they do it.

I know that some do but they also learn how to do it - something I doubt Mr. Gothic Kitten Guy did. Removing dewclaws is a little different from installing useless hardware.
