Aside from free weights and body weight equipment (chin-up bars, etc.) what is the best piece of home exercise equipment that you have used? What is the worst/biggest rip-off?
On a related note: what is the next big fad in home exercise equipment?

I have one of those Universal Gyms that you used to see (maybe still do) in the weight rooms. It is a really nice machine, I need to put it back together. I just have not had the ambition to do it since we moved. :o
My wife has one of those steps - for aerobics I guess. That, in my opinion is the biggest rip off.
A plain wooden block would do the same thing.
The two things I use most are the exercise bike and the treadmill - and recently an elliptical trainer.
New trends??? Not a clue.
I'm an old school Nordic Track kind of gal. That thing will kick anybody's butt plus it actually does condition you for XC about as well as anything out there. I also adore my mini-trampoline. I don't care if half the AARP members in country have one - it's fun. :D
A stationary bicycle is a good piece of home equipment; the handlebars are the right size for hanging my husband's jacket for the next morning.
I think I want one of those Rockin' Roller things from the infomercial.
They are clearly dangerous and possibly lethal yet the concept makes so much sense to me.:D
