He hosted the Commander in Chief's ball, for active duty military, and tickets were free for them. I saw him and Michelle dancing with soldiers in uniform. It didn't look like they were snubbing the military.

Agreed. He may not understand the Military or relate to us very well but I don't think he'd go out of his way to disrespect us who serve. Unless you consider repealing DADT as disrespectful, which I do. :(

That one ball is one he should not have missed. Whether he meant to "snub" anyone, is not the question.

Over the past 56 years and 14 inaugurations, no President has skipped this event - until now.
He should have known better....or his advisers should.

Of all the Balls to skip, this should not have been one of them. This will be remembered...and not kindly.

Whether or not in was an intential move, he still placed the hollywood high rolling donors value, over that of the nations true heroes.

It just goes to show where his loyalties will lie over the next 4 years. Those of us in Uniform should make note of that.

According to Stars & Stripes, some Medal of Honor winners attended the Commander in Chief's ball:

No. Adding information. Is that frowned upon?

I think the point is - he should have skipped one of the HOLLYWOOD balls and attended this one.
Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.
