    A Great Red State
I was reading a local paper this morning and a front page story detailed the State of the City address given by the Mayor of Acworth, GA to business leaders and other guests. The city has not and has no plans to lay-off workers or to curtail city services. There will be no tax increases and I can attest that taxes are extremely reasonable at the current level. Our budget will be balanced as usual and will have a surplus for the 11th year in a row. Unemployment in our city is 5.4% and home values have dropped only 4% during the real estate free-fall. We have some very good PUBLIC schools and an abundance of activities that families can enjoy. Top that off with a nice climate and some of the nicest neighbors you could ask for.

What more could you want? :)
