At least when it's euthanasia the individual gets to decide, and their death usually takes less than 4 days.

Dehydration will kill you a lot faster than starvation. With water she would likely have lasted a lot longer than 4 days. I think it's possible to live 2-3 weeks without food but less than a week without water.
