STILL recovering from the flu and my daughter is home sick today. :(

At least there is some sunshine out there today. Pupper is busy trying to kill her big blue carrot with the rope handle in the living room. She's a riot.

    TOTD

What was your first pet? Also which or what was your WORST pet?

First for me was a mutt named Dutch. (Which is cool because my Porn name is Dutch York rather than Spot Main or Puddles 31st Ave.) :p

The worst was a horrific cat we rescued as a kitten who turned into this saber tooth throw back that hated everything and everyone. he went bye-bye. But he massed 25 pounds when he went.

My first pet was a boxer dog named Mandy. My worst pet was a cat. Just because it was a cat. (My porn name is Mandy Taylor).

My first pet was a poodle named Baby that my mom got me when I was about 6. She parents had her put to sleep when I was 20 and it broke my heart. I called my mom and dad murderers for about a week. I understood, on an intellectual level that she was old and had no quality of life but I missed her terribly.

Worse pet was a raccoon that a friend and I captured when it was little. It never became all cute and cuddly like you see in the movies. It was mean as hell and got meaner has it got older. We eventually let it go. When we let it out of the box in the woods, instead of scampering off in to the forest, happy to be free, it turned around and charged us. I don't think I've ever run that fast. Raccoons are vicious.

So, what's your porn name? That's a combination of your first pet and your street name when you were a kid. So you're "Baby.....?"

Raccoons live through others? I never knew that.

Well, that's what "vicarious" means. Perhaps you meant "vicious"? And fixed it? ;)

The first pet that I had was a dog named Cindy. She was super sweet. She died when I was 11 :(

My worst pet is probably our parrot. Very loud bird, and has a tendency to bite fingers rather than food when you give him something. I try to be extra calm around him so that I won't make him react, but I don't think he likes me. I'm sure it is because I was at college when my parents got him:p

And Linda, my porn name would be Cindy Hayes ;)

Parrots are tempermental animals and they tend to bond to a single person. Even if you had been at home when your parents got him there is a chance he might not have bonded with you. It's not really a matter of like or not when parrots are involved. It's trust and it takes a lot for a parrot to trust someone.

He bonded pretty seriously with my dad. He'll sit there and groom my dad's eyebrows :D
