Thanks for the correction but before you laugh too hard at my typos and paranoia do a little research on Soros and his money machinations. He is an expert at 'running up ' a country's currency when he spots any weakness .He made a fortune on both the Bhat(tm) and Pound Sterling when he made a run on those currency's.The dollar is stable against the Euro for the moment but playing one currency against another is a rather complex and very dangerous game and Soros has a team of expert and very experienced money manipulators working for him .Look up the run on the New Zealand pound .In August 1971, when President Richard Nixon announced that the dollar no longer would be convertible to gold, he blamed speculators for "waging an all?out war on the dollar."
"Speculation that the Bank of England may cut its base rate further led to falls in the pound against the euro.
Traders are anticipating that a series of economic surveys published in the country this week could show that consumer confidence and manufacturing output has plummeted - fuelling forecasts that the Bank's monetary policy committee may cut rates again."
As you should be able to see the speculation in currency's are real and happen every time the 'currency sharks' notice a weakness and Soros is one of the most dangerous .

Times have changed,Flintlock's are obsolete along with the AR-15 ! Have you ever watched those night infrared gun camera video's from IRAQ or those snipers from Afghanistan ? Those helicopter spook gunships hovering in whisper mode, with chain guns that would shred an entire company of troops in milliseconds and a proficient sniper can take your head off at over a mile with a fifty caliber round .

I look around at what is happening to our country and read between the lines as to what could happen next .Sometimes I am off due to my lack of faith in the present government others I am right on .I should just keep my opinions to myself and walk around with a big dumb smile on my face and smell the roses ?

If you're going to tell people that doing what is right is hopeless and impossible - then YES. People all over the 13 colonies bought the lie that fighting the British was impossible. So many people did what you did telling people that - fighting against them is impossible - you wouldn't stand a chance . . . . Maybe you're right - but I'll burn in hell before I'll sit on my ass and take on the yoke of slavery just because it's easier.
Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.

Sir, do you honestly believe that? What you call D&G, others might call a realist. What exactly are you optimistic about in regards to our economy and employment situation? Have you considered the other shoe that hasn't fallen yet but will in the near future? The other shoe being commercial real estate that that no one wants to rent and is highly leveraged . If you have some concrete good news, please share.
As much as it pains me to say this, the solid type people who built this country seem to be few and far between these days.Last edited by AlmostThere; 02-23-2009 at 09:47 PM.
