The Citizen And The Media (Must Read!)
The intended purpose of this letter is for you the citizen to see where you and I stand as citizens getting accurate information from the MSM or main stream media CBS, NBC, ABC, CNBC, and throw in both CNN and Fox.
That's right even Fox restricts vital information from coming forth to "we the people". For instance, why doesn't Fox considered by most to be the voice for conservative people report or demand Obama prove he is a natural born citizen and why doesn’t Fox report about the millions of dollars Obama is spending on the various law firms to keep this information away from the American people?
If he doesn’t have anything to hide then why not settle this issue once and for all and provide the orginal birth certificate proving he was born in Hawaii? Until he does there can only be one reason, he ain’t! Why doesn’t Fox scrutinize Obama’s cabinet appointments and tell it like it is about these communist. And no that is not an extreme expression, only a completely accurate statement.
Richard Salant—Former president of CBS News__Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.
John Swinton—Former Chief of Staff New York Press Club__There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history in America, as an independent press.
You know it and I know it. You wouldn’t dare write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand, that it would never appear in print. The business of journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread.
You know it and I know it and what folly this toasting of an independent press. We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men.
We are intellectual prostitutes. Winston Churchill said, “The worst crime is not to tell the truth to the public. The crime endures, flourishes, and overwhelms.
Bernard Goldberg—Commentator on CBS 48 Hours television program__We in the press like to say we’re honest brokers of information, and it’s just not true. The press does have an agenda.
Paul Watson—Co-founder of Greenpeace__It doesn’t matter what is true; it only matters what people believe is true….You are what the media define you to be.
Benjamin Crowninshield Bradlee—Former Executive Editor Washington Post__To hell with the news. I’m no longer interested in news. I’m interested in causes. We don’t print the truth. We don’t pretend to print the truth.
Additional Useful Information
Dr. Gene Schroder in his book Constitution Fact or Fiction: tells us that through the insidious, yet steady encroachment of ‘emergency powers,’ the government has now achieved the ability to rule the people by statute or decree, without the vote or consent of the ruled. Since 1933 America has continued under the ‘unconstitutional dictatorship’ of war and emergency powers. Don McAlvany reports: Executive order 12919, released by President Clinton on June 6, 1994, spells out some of the powers that the president assumes under a national emergency.
In it he assumes the power to control all transportation, all forms of energy, all farm equipment, all fertilizer, all food resources, all health resources, all metals and minerals, and all water resources.
The only so-called emergency power of the Constitution reads as follows: the privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus is the fundamental instrument for safeguarding individual freedom against arbitrary and lawless state action.
The Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public safety may require it. (Article 1, Section 9) Since the clause in question resides in Article 1, it was obviously intended that only the legislature should make such a declaration.
Any President who would assume ‘commander in chief’ powers, ‘war powers,’ declare ‘emergencies’ to assume powers not delegated by the Constitution should be laughed at as a buffoon.
