It does not matter whether it is a D or a R. Just so happens that one of the R's is dead, the other is either in jail or will go to jail and the other is retired. Conclusion: since they are not in office, it would be an impossibilty to remove them. No so with Byrd and Kennedy. Do you understand?

Since you have a reading and comprehension disability, I will try to explain it to you. The implication, which flew right over your head, is that conservatives do not want career politiciians whether they are a D or a R. BTW, if you want to see stupid, go look in the mirror.

one or the other MIGHT get voted out - very doubtful - but possible . . . . but the chances of either being replaced by a conservative? The odds are better that Gore will renounce global warming and his climate change crusade.

You mention only Democrat examples, but the Republicans have theirs as well - ol' Strom for 47 years, Ted Stevens for 40, Pete Domenici for 36....

I merely mentioned the senior and second senior senators. Not my fault they fell to the liberal wayside. Doesn't matter if they are republican or democrat...the government was not established with career politicians in mind. Being a politician is not supposed to be a coveted position, rather its a position in which people should disdain from being in due to the enormous responsibility and stress that is supposed to accompany the position.

The topic is retiring old RINO's. Note key word "Retiring, Retiring, Retiring." To simplify,Kennedy and Byrd are not retired and they are not RINO's.

To me the key words where long terms and the OP failed to mention long terms for Republican senators (which he has since explained) which implies that they don't make a career out of political service. Both sides do this. but I though you could figure that out with out my help. I guess I misjudged you.
