#1 Reagan.org - new conservative grassroots movement
03-13-2009, 08:39 PM
A new grassroots movement dedicated to President Reagan has been launched. The website isn't very large yet, but I encourage you to check it out, and register. I found the video on the front page very inspiring.
Reagan.org is a non-partisan grassroots movement founded to secure and preserve the conservative American voice. We are not politicians, in fact, we are your average everyday citizen- indistinguishable in a crowd.
Reagan.org sprang from humble roots to fill a void. For too long conservatives have not had an answer to liberal sites like Moveon.org, Emily's list, Act Blue, and NARAL. Without a counterbalance, left wing socialist organizations have forced their political will on traditional Americans.
Their dominance is over. Welcome to Reagan.org, where the power is ours.
I love this picture, from the site:

"If you bound the arms and legs of gold-medal swimmer Michael Phelps, weighed him down with chains, threw him in a pool and he sank, you wouldn't call it a 'failure of swimming'. So, when markets have been weighted down by inept and excessive regulation, why call this a 'failure of capitalism'?"

I went on the site and it looks very promising! I signed up already.
"Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives."

Life is a story; if you stay on the same page forever you will never finish it.

We proudly stand for the following conservative principles:
* Strong national defense.
* Strong families.
* Strong stance on life.
* Strong stance on the second amendment.
* Strong stance against socialism.
* Strong stance for strict constitutional constructionism.
* Strong stance against big spending Republicans and Democrats.

I've always considered President Reagan to have been just another socialist.

I greatly admire him for how he handled the air traffic controller strike. If only he'd been as decisive in downsizing the government -- instead, he only managed to temporarily stop it from expanding. He later said this: "It's hard when you're up to your armpits in alligators to remember you came here to drain the swamp".
