Back to the main title. I don't see any alternative to getting used to the idea of high gas prices. I don't understand what he is saying. What is his point?

I think he’s saying that due to consumption - not speculation - we need to get used to substantial increases every year in our end product prices and that until we find a different mode of transportation - this is the way it’s going to be for Americans until our economy degenerates into a 2nd rate power, under Obama.;)
