There is a local swimmer here who will be competing in the breaststroke. I think he's the world record holder (I have to look him up). My partner's son was a high level competitor at that stroke...he got whupped by this kid! :)Originally Posted by Jumpy

We have a local volleyball player, Kim Glass, who will likely be on the women's volleyball team. She is a highschool friend of my sons. A 6-4 black girl, who was homecoming queen in a mostly white highschool.

She is beautiful. She is the first person I have known that will probably compete in the Olympics, so I am really happy for her. Of course she wouldn't know me from adam, unless I reminded her of who's mom I am.
The Olympics seem so much more personal when local highschool graduates compete!
I have been reading about a girl in Harrisburg.... swimming?
Oh.. did the swimmers in todays competition wear that funky magic suit?
