ONE of the world's leading scientists has travelled to South Africa to lead the search for an African Einstein.
The Sunday Times reports Stephen Hawking, who suffers from motor neurone disease, made the journey to launch the £75 million ($156 million) project to create Africa’s first post-graduate centres for maths and physics.
The project has been backed by high-tech entrepreneurs and scientists after the British Government declined to provide funding, the paper reports.
