It must suck so bad to be this wrong.

    Where do we start?

    Thats the plan.

If you want to keep your insurance, you can. Same policy, same doctor, same everything.

The 'option' is the government plan, you can buy into it if you don't want private insurance.

The President has stated this at least 100 times, he is on TV right now and just repeated it again.

    Are you ever listening ?

Are you serious? You can't be that dumb, Linda! Allowing the government to run any new programs means committing more tax money to it, means that more uninsured will be insured and going to your doctor and mine, decreasing our care and increasing our wait times, and the quality of care will go down as the government starts setting the prices for every procedure, forcing the good doctors out of the profession and institutionalizing mediocrity even further! Obama wants to issue the equivalent of government food stamps!

Health care is not a right! It's a responsibility, and if you're not ambitious enough to provide health insurance for yourself and your family, then it's not my responsibility or the responsibility of other responsible working adults to pay for you to have it!!

"You are entitled to something, the politicians say, simply because it exists and you want or need it—period. You are entitled to be given it by the government. Where does the government get it from? What does the government have to do to private citizens—to their individual rights—to their real rights—in order to carry out the promise of showering free services on the people?

The answers are obvious. The newfangled rights wipe out real rights—and turn the people who actually create the goods and services involved into servants of the state. The Russians tried this exact system for many decades. Unfortunately, we have not learned from their experience. Yet the meaning of socialism (this is the right name for Clinton's medical plan) is clearly evident in any field at all—you don't need to think of health care as a special case; it is just as apparent if the government were to proclaim a universal right to food, or to a vacation, or to a haircut. I mean: a right in the new sense: not that you are free to earn these things by your own effort and trade, but that you have a moral claim to be given these things free of charge, with no action on your part, simply as handouts from a benevolent government.

How would these alleged new rights be fulfilled? Take the simplest case: you are born with a moral right to hair care, let us say, provided by a loving government free of charge to all who want or need it. What would happen under such a moral theory?"

Read on for more perspective: Health Care is not a Right.

Name one thing that government has gotten its gluttonous mitts into that is not a bloated, wasteful mess..

    I'll wait.

While you're feebly attempting to find something, I'll list just a few things that the government has totally screwed up:

    1. The school system
    2. Medicaid/Medicare
    3. Social Security
    4. Welfare/entitlements
    5. The housing market
    6. The auto industry
    7. Government, itself.
    8. Every single thing government has ever gotten involved with or taken over.

    Public option?

Let's look at you for instance, if they pass this mess, you're going to be on the public option. Let's pretend (and this is far fetched fantasy) that you actually do move to the Keys and make a successful business for yourself...YOU'LL STILL BE ON THE PUBLIC OPTION, you can't get out of it...ever. I'm sure you'll enjoy the "take a number" medical care that will see you through what is left of your life.

If you change jobs, you have to go into the Government plan. It is mandatory so you have no choice. It is mandatory that a business has to buy insurance for their employees. What if a young healthy person does not want to participate. Forcing people to do what they do not want to is un-American.
