I'll admit, I haven't read the transcript, I've skimmed over it. I did get this though.
Honestly, put yourself in the cops position. That call comes in to the dispatcher, who then calls it out to you as "a possible B & E". You get to the house to find to men in the house. Wouldn't you want some proof that the Professor lives there? It should have ended there, but the professor, goes into default "racism" mode. He follows the officer outside hurling insults at him, instead of thanking them for checking on his house.“They kind of had to barge in ... using their shoulder ... I’m not sure if these are two individuals who actually live there ... they were pushing the door in.”
This is an ongoing problem where I live. I have no use for the police around here, most are just to sorry to get a real job. But that's another story. The black community fusses and hold town hall meetings about police harrassing the people in their neighborhoods, but if you look in the police reports in the paper, 80% of the calls for police come from that part of town. You can't call the police, then fuss about them coming. Not long ago, they were fussing that the police weren't patrolling their neighborhoods. "The police don't care about the black folks." Now they are harrassing them for coming when they call them? Damned if you do , damned if you don't.
That is who Gates reminds me of.
