Miss Thompson had better be careful. Arguing that the school didn't honor their part might just get her labeled a racist.

From what I can tell, Miss Thompson did not make any of the Dean's Lists or President's Lists at Monroe. Therefore she earned less than a 3.4 GPA. This woman thinks she can sue the school she did not excel at for not finding her a job within 3 months of graduation?? :p

With this mentality, is it any surprise she can't find a job?

But you voted for Obama for Prez. Why don't you sue the Magic Negro as he is the one that promised your dumb ass that unemployment would go down, and it was going to be the land of milk and honey once he got elected.

Assisting grads with career placement isn't a code phrase meaning, "We guarantee you a highly paid, fulfilling job in your degree area".

But what can we expect when kids get awards for just showing up and Mommy probably works harder on the kid's resume than the kid does?

I don't think she's entitled to a dime from the school, unless there is more to the case than this article details.

That said, a lot of those business and trade schools (ITT, Kaplan, etc.) that advertise on television make a lot of big promises to potential students about job placement after graduation. Sometimes, those schools are scams, too, where the students enroll, take a couple of semesters worth of classes, and then the school ends up going bankrupt. I've seen schools try to do this to foster kids, but in those cases, the AG's office will get involved because state money is involved. We try to steer our kids to reputable community colleges and state universities, but not all kids are cut out for that type of higher education, and lots want to learn auto mechanics or building trades.
