In the home stretch for the playoffs. I love this time of year.

The Phillies and the Cards look good to take their divisioins. Nice.

Colorado could make a run at the Dodgers. LA is up by 5 and have won 7 of the last 10. The Rockies have shown they can go on a tear, but are 5 and 5 for the last 10.

No one can get too comfortable at this stage...remember the Cubs in 1969.

I have an autographed copy of George Will's Men at Work. When he autographed it, he wrote Revenge '69 above his name.

I hadn't looked at the home vs away. Interesting.

The Cards are good at home and on the road. Better at home, though.

And the magic number is now down to 2 for the Cards. Those darned Cubbies won't give up, have won the last 3 games in a row. After a brief slump, the Birds are back to 4 wins out of the last 5.

It could be clinched tonight with the combination of a Cards win and Cubs lost. Have to admit that I admire the spirit of the Cubs, not giving up yet.

You have to respect the cubbies players still giving their all. Soriano out. Ramirez in and out. Big money free agent Bradley worse than a bust. So anyone on that team still playing through an injury has my respect.
