The LAST time the Phils won it I was living in Phils land. My mom went to the dark side (away from the true light of Cardinals fandom). I did like the team with Schmidt and Rose and Carlton. Those were the good old days. Scrappy team with a good work ethic.

I even like this Phils team. It was refreshing to see a large slugger with an MVP like Ryan realize "hey, if I lose weight it will help the team".

But, still, they are the Phils. A glimmer to the wondrous joy of the Cardinals. :D

Don't look now, but the Braves are getting hot. If the Phillies and/or Marlins slip.......

We at least have a shot at the wildcard.
I feel that once a black fella has referred to white foks as "honky paleface devil white-trash cracker redneck Caspers," he's abdicated the right to get upset about the "N" word. But that's just me. -- Jim Goad

Right now the Cards are 6 games ahead of the Cubbies. Here's hoping the Cubs continue to choke and the Cards don't get complacent.

    GO CARDS!!!!!

I hear that today the Cards signed John Smoltz. I hope the old guy has a few good starts left in him.

    Good luck.
