My mother preferred the wooden spoon. She occasionally employed the broken ping pong paddle as well. We caught on to that rather quickly though and refused them as "gifts".

I resemble that remark. We had company last night. Well, actually Fang, my mother-in-law, had company and I had to make nice. They were Baptists so I couldn't even get drunk. :(
Nice thread. I was, however, a very quiet child. I used to love to sit quietly in the den in front of a fire and watch the flames. I found it very relaxing. My parents objected though because we didn't have a fireplace.

In a way that post told us more about the Moonbats then you can imagine.
When not in power, they become the spoiled little brat creating chaos and making people them around misable.
