This is the same government that wants to take over your health care. Many auto dealers are getting upset that the government is being very slow paying them back the money they laid out for the Cash for Clunkers program. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that some dealerships are owed more than $100,000 resulting in difficulty making payroll: It [Cash for Clunkers] has generated the most showroom traffic they have had in months while at the same time heaping unease, frustration and worry onto the industry's worst-ever downturn. The poor running of the Cash for Clunkers program is more evidence that the government should not be allowed to operate the Health Care, Energy or any other industry. The next government-run program that operates the way it is supposed to, will be the very first.

Just wait and see how many dealerships shut down temporarily or permenantly. Car sales in the next few months will drop significantly as everyone who needs a car has bought a car. Government is essentually operating CARS with dealers with dealers money until the dealers are paid. Dealers are cash strapped now, due to governmental inefficiency, and will be in the future because not many cars will be sold. This program is a joke.

Even worse than that; they tried to sell a whore house and screwed that up. Sold it for far less than it was worth. A bunch of dummies in government got out foxed by the bidder.

The government clunkers program is so poorly run that they do not know exactly how much money has been spent. The distribution of payments to auto dealers is working about as efficiently as the distribution to stimulus contracts/funds. What has the car czar been doing except sitting on his ass?
