This was cornbread from the store, and apparently they do sugar it; it was like eating cake.
The recipe turned out pretty well. I do think I like pork ribs better. In winter I love beef short ribs, but I think they are better for braising than any other method.
Store cornbread with sugar is like a cake. I hate it. Cornbread should be thin and made not in the oven, but on top of the stove in a skillet. My grandmother used to make the best! :D

I make it both ways. I love corn cakes on top of the stove. Crispy and delicious.
