Post pics!! I LOVE salmon, and have smoked it, but never grilled it. How long does it take to grill it? Do you have to buy the cedar plank? Can you taste a difference?

    Great thread!!! :D

I was taking some stuff left over from the greyt Pergo installation a couple of weeks ago and saw those cedar planks. What a racket!! $6.99 for 2 boards. We soaked them for about 4 or 5 hours, per directions, so they didn't burn. Hoping to reuse the plank, unless there's some danger in it. We've never cooked on a plank before.

Also got a grill basket, the wok type with higher, slanted sides for grilled veggies. I didn't fix that for this evening, but we've been grilling whatever veggies I happen to have in the frig every night. Last night I sliced a russet, 1 sweet potato, zucchini spears, yellow squash spears, asparasgus, red onions into the wok, sprinkled a tiny bit of hickory seasoning on it, along with garlic powder and a sprinkling of olive oil. When they're finished I toss with a bit of parmesan. They're delicious.

I sounds like you have planned properly. The seasonings sound perfect. I LOVE using olive oil with garlic and a sprinkling of parmesan.

    Everything sounds perfect.
