Miz Bubba can't stand English/Garden/La Seur peas. I love 'em.
My wife won't eat Brussels sprouts. How can anyone resist those delicious mini cabbages drenched with butter or cheese?
Usually people hate them because they've had slimy, overcooked ones. I either cut them in half and steam them, then toss with lemon and butter, or roast them in olive oil, salt, and pepper, in the oven.

Exactly! Her mother used to murder them. We just got a steamer recently and it made a believer out of me!

Try this:
Dice the sprouts finely and cook them in butter briefly. Add some salt and pepper before serving. Die hard spout-haters seem to find this preparation acceptable.
