Wait, isn't Batman a term for some sissy English personal servant that dresses some other sissy Victorian English guy? Or do I need more coffee?
If you think the British Army was sissy in Victorian times. Most countries they occupied did not. A batman acted as valet and bodyguard to upper class soldiers in the Army, and served in combat as well in many cases. Have you ever read the wonderful Lord Peter Wimsey novels by Dorothy L. Sayers? Bunter, Peter's butler, served as his batman alongside him in the trenches in World War I.

We have been getting a ton of rain over here also. In fact it is storming hard now.

That low is suppose to move out later tonight and we will return to a more normal summer rain pattern.

Patriot45 and I were suppose to go shooting today but decided not to chance the rain.

TOTD: Keaton. He put Batman back on the map and made him popular again.

Hot today in the Insurance Capital. Gearing up for my 4 week gig in Boston, doing kickoff slides, etc.

TOTD: Tough one. I think I gotta go with Keaton as well, primarily because of the very pleasant surprise that Mr. Mom could turn so handily into the Batman.

It's called the FL Rainy Season Shannon! :p

You have my sister from Jersey to blame. She came down to FL last week to visit
the parents. She ALWAYS brings rain with her. She left yesterday so things should clear up now. :D

Just hot here in St. Louie. No rain.
May the FORCE be with you!

Really? This being my first year here and all I wasn't aware of a rainy season. I'm not talking 2:00 thunderstorms. It hasn't stopped raining for days...like in SEATTLE. Get it now, Yankee boy?
