#1 White House slams Glenn Beck on blog10-01-2009, 11:16 AMWhite House slams Glenn Beck on blog
By Eric Zimmermann - 09/30/09 04:24 PM ET
The official White House blog slammed Glenn Beck today, accusing the host of displaying a "disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration's efforts to win the Olympics for the United States."
Last night, the conservative firebrand attacked the President for lobbying hard to get the 2016 Olympics to come to Chicago.
Today, the White House released a point by point rebuttal of some of Beck's statements.
Here's an example from the post, which is titled, "Trying to Turn a Point of Pride into a Moment of Shame":
RHETORIC: BECK SAID VANCOUVER LOST $1 BILLION WHEN IT "HAD THE OLYMPICS." Glenn Beck said, "Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]
REALITY: VANCOUVER'S OLYMPICS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL 2010. Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games from February 12 Ė 28, 2010 and March 12-21, 2010, respectively. [Vancouver2010.com, accessed 9/29/09]
At the end of the post, the White House encourages viewers to visit Politifact.com for "even more Fox lies."
The White House has called out Fox News before. When President Obama made the rounds on the Sunday talk shows to push healthcare reform, he pointedly excluded Fox. He's also described Fox as "entirely devoted to attacking my administration."

What is really amusing is that Beck was speaking of the Calgary games and misspoke on the occasion they mention and said "Vancouver".
They are taking misspoken things and treating them as if they were real!!!
Dare we bring up the 57 states he mentioned during the campaign???I long for the days when our President actually liked our country.

I bet Beck really gives them a case of the pink butt with his chalk board and his red phone for incoming calls from the "WH.

For all the questioning and fact checking Glenn has done, am I the only one who finds it odd the White House chooses to respond to Beck while he is out with appendicitis? Judge Andrew Napalitano, one of my favorite opinion speakers, has been filling in for Beck the past couple of nights because Beck is sick. Now the Regi^H^H^H^HAdministration chooses to take aim at him?
That's just weak kneed and cowardly.

Typical OBlah Blah. He focuses on non essential crap like this because he doesn't have a clue how to govern. He has never been a leader and thinks his image of himself is enough to get the job done. His circle of clowns are no better. Absolutely clueless how to proceed. They are tunnel vision on liberal fringe issues. How is health care reform THE single most important thing we have to deal with as a nation? Has anybody made the case for a complete overhaul of the health care industry? If so, I have yet to see it. We have a few problems that we need to fix but how is tearing down the entire industry the answer?
OBlah Blah avoids the very things he was elected to do. His first priority should be the economy and he has totally screwed that up by his interference and ineptitude. His second priority ought to be the conduct of two wars his country is engaged in. Instead, Mr O Blah Blah makes speeches and has closed door meetings with Union thugs, left winged moonbats with a fringe cause, and of course King George Soros, his puppet master.
Of course we only know of his nefarious activities at the White House because this hope and change clown who promised openess and transparency was forced by law to give up the visitation log; Then these thugs only gave up what was asked for by name. Nothing to see here. Nope. All that liberal openess and transparency. That era Pee-Lousy said was a "culture of corruption" wasn't pre-2009, it is now.

Do not ever say that the desire to "do good" by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives. (Are you listening Barry)?

You have to laugh at how threatened they are by Fox - and by how much business they are pushing to Fox by their reactions!Stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.
