  1. #1 More troops to Afghan??? Why?

The head of the British Army says the war in Afghanistan will become "unsustainable" unless it has support back home, and more must be done to make up for past failures to persuade the public of the justification for the mission.

General Sir David Richards told The Independent: “The irony is that while the Army has huge popular support from the nation, for which we are immensely grateful, the war we are fighting on the nation’s behalf does not benefit from the same support.”
President Barack Obama plans to send 30,000 more troops to be deployed over six months, a senior administration official told The Associated Press Tuesday, escalating the 8-year-old war.

In his prime-time speech to the nation Tuesday night, Obama also will lay out a rough timeframe, including some dates, for when the main U.S. military mission will end.

These are people who would gladly come to this country and kill us. Can you imagine if they planted bombs in walmarts around the country? It would cause chaos. Not to mention that it would effect the American economy.
