Are there people who are that into Dr. Who? I remember the geeks from high school who were hooked on the original, hokey series that was only on PBS.

As far as opera goes, I am waiting for the first rap opera, which I hope and pray will be the Kwame Kilpatrick story.

There is always that old rock opera, TOMMY, by the Who. That was a long time ago.

Kwame Kilpatrick is doing his best to add more material. Is he in jail yet?

He was charged with assualting someone last week-he claims he was "escorting" the person from a relative's home. The person in question was a Sheriff's officer serving a subpeona, and the alleged assualt was witnessed by another Sheriff's officer. He had to post a bond, and now has to submit to regular drug screens, because the judge couldn't think of any other possible explaination for his behavior. The judge is the only person involved that I've ever met, and that was before he was made a judge. He won't hear the trial, though, because 36th District court hears only prelims and arraignments in felony cases. The trial will be across the street at Wayne County Circuit Court.

There are new text messages that haven't been released yet, that show he was involved with other women than just his chief of staff. That should give girlfriend enough motive to cut herself a deal with the prosecutor. Her lawyer is the deal-cutting type, and his is the showboat type.

Prior to that, he was giving press conferences and speeches claiming that the prosecutor has a weak case.
