Mass. Senate Poll Shows shift toward GOP candidate

"Lets see.Who Is Next? How about Senator Chuckie the Clown Schumer."

BOSTON -- A new poll in the Massachusetts Senate race shows a shift in favor of the Republican Party and a potential disaster for President Barack Obama and his Democratic political agenda in Tuesday's special election.

The Suffolk University survey released late Thursday showed Scott Brown, a Republican state senator, with 50 percent of the vote in the race to succeed the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy in this overwhelmingly Democratic state.

Democrat Martha Coakley had 46 percent. That was a statistical tie since it was within the poll's 4.4 percentage point margin of error, but far different from a 15-point lead the Massachusetts attorney general enjoyed in a Boston Globe survey released over the weekend.

There is no way the Dems are going to allow Kennedy's seat to go to the GOP. Rest assured that even if Brown wins in a landslide, they will challenge the election. There is no way in blue hell the seat that once belonged to the champion of healthcare reform will go to the enemy.

Not that it matters. According to other reports, they are going to delay the certification until after the vote on healthcare reform anyway.

I wonder if New York (with help from the media) will label this as Smucky's Senate seat ala Massachusettes?

The Peoples Republic of Mass...... another failure of Socialism.

Sam Adams must be smiling in his grave. He may break out in uncontrollable laughter if Brown pulls it out!

The way many members are wavering on healthcare, there may not be a vote. There won't be a vote until the Democrats are 100% sure that they have the votes. A failed vote kills this thing for good. If they do not have the votes, they will go ahead and seat Brown that way they can blame Republicans as obstructionists.

I think that there are Democrats wishing Brown would win so it would let them off the hook. They could claim a vote for healthcare but take no blame that it did not pass.

I agree, they'll pull some eleventh hour slight of hand and either lose ballots or add a bunch of absentee ballots from outer space.

Galvin the Mass. Sec. Of State is a slippery liberal and known to slip a few rules to make sure they win. But wouldn't it be nice to watch the look of anguish if the election were honest and Brown Won.
