Just watched The Hurt Locker. The best war movie since Blackhawk Down. Not as action packed but boy do they dial up the intensity. It is an absolutely nerve fraying, punch in the gut adrenline filled ride. I highly recomend it.

I concur. The Hurt Locker is a great film.
"Our president delivered his State of the Union message to Congress. That is one of the things his contract calls for -- to tell congress the condition of the country. This message, as I say, is to Congress. The rest of the people know the condition of the country, for they live in it, but Congress has no idea what is going on in America, so the president has to tell 'em." ~ Will Rogers

The movie is badass! One of the best scenes is an 800 yard sniper duel. The Americans are pinned down behind a berm and hundreds of yards of open ground but they have a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle. The Insurgents are in a building in the middle of hundreds of yards of open ground. Neither group can move anywhere until the opposing sniper can be taken out so they trade shots back and forth, shifting positions in their limited cover from time to time.
