#1 Air America Ceases Live Programming Today.01-21-2010, 06:24 PMAir America
It is with the greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, and that the Company will file soon under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of the business.

Man this is one hell of a good week. Whats next!
Personally I had always been under the impression they received some operation funding from the feds some how. But also knew that Randy Rhodes had cost them big in both the pockets and listeners.Klaatu barada nikto

I actually heard of Air America, but I never heard them.
I thought that Al Franken put them out of business a few years ago. These are not the good old days.

Air America is gone and Mike Savage is still on the air. There really is a God.

The profoundly negative and largely unsuccessful Air America radio network has run out of money and has closed up shop.
Born on March 31, 2004 and died Jan. 21, 2010. Details are at its website. It has filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Apparently, they couldn't find any more Boys Clubs whose funds they could raid.
So, the Fairness Doctrine is revealed publicly for what it was: an attempt to fund that which the American public doesn't want.
It's a good week to be a conservative.:)

#10 Get ready for a resurgence of the "fairness doctrine" debate01-22-2010, 01:24 PM
I predict the libs will not only resurrect the push to re-institute the fairness doctrine but will try to expand its scope. Don't be surprised with Dear Leader and Vacant-losi tries to bail out the NY Times, MSNBC and other money losing commie mouthpieces.
I'm sure the argument will be "the New York Times is too big to fail."
