To me it will mean the country doesn't care about our involvement in Iraq, doesn't care about healthcare, social security, the environment, jobs, civil rights, the right to privacy, and believes that the policies of the past 8 years were ok

For me it will mean there will be no more excuses for the stupidity of the American people. They have already made two major mistakes in 2000 and 2004. If they haven't learned by now in 2008, they deserve the consequences of their stupidity

    2. If McCain (or whomever the R runs) wins, it's because they stole it. Updated at 5:58 PM

It's not the people, it's the people behind the boxes we vote with.

    Democratic Voter Fraud, Intimidation Confirmed

Several readers wrote to point out this study of the 2004 election by the American Center for Voting Rights. We reported extensively on efforts by the Democrats to intimidate Republican voters in the months leading up to the election, and to commit fraud on election day. Those anectotal reports are confirmed by the Center's report. I'm still working my way through the full text, but here are excerpts from the executive summary:
[A] careful review of the facts shows that in 2004, paid Democrat operatives were far more involved in voter intimidation and suppression efforts than their Republican counterparts. Examples include:

    * Paid Democrat operatives charged with slashing tires of 25 Republican get-out-the-vote vans in Milwaukee on the morning of Election Day.

    * Misleading telephone calls made by Democrat operatives targeting Republican voters in Ohio with the wrong date for the election and faulty polling place information.

    * Intimidating and deceiving mailings and telephone calls paid for by the DNC threatening Republican volunteers in Florida with legal action.

    * Union-coordinated intimidation and violence campaign targeting Republican campaign offices and volunteers resulting in a broken arm for a GOP volunteer in Florida.

Vote fraud and voter registration fraud were significant problems in at least a dozen states around the county. Vote fraud is a reality in America that occurred not only in large battleground states like Wisconsin but in places like Alabama and Kentucky. The record indicates that in 2004, voter registration fraud was mainly the work of so-called “nonpartisan” groups such as Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and NAACP National Voter Fund. Examples include:

    * Joint task force in Wisconsin found “clear evidence of fraud in the Nov. 2 election in Milwaukee,” including more than 200 felon voters, more than 100 double voters and thousands more ballots cast than voters recorded as having voted in the city.

    * NAACP National Voter Fund worker in Ohio paid crack cocaine in exchange for a large number of fraudulent voter registration cards in names of Dick Tracy, Mary Poppins and other fictional characters.

    * Former ACORN worker said there was “a lot of fraud committed” by group in Florida, as ACORN workers submitted thousands of fraudulent registrations in a dozen states across the country, resulting in a statewide investigation of the group in Florida and multiple indictments and convictions of ACORN/Project Vote workers for voter registration fraud in several states.
The Democrats have organized massive efforts to subvert the democratic process over the last several election cycles. Voter fraud is still the great unacknowledged issue of our democracy. Ominously, violence has more recently supplemented fraud in the Democrats' arsenal of dirty tricks. We are a long way from solving these problems, but shining the light of publicity on them is a first step.
This is bigger than presidential politics. This is a battle for America.

Report Documents Massive Democratic Voter Fraud

Part one of a two-part series.

All reasonable people know it -- it was well documented by various media sources throughout the 2004 election and now we have the concrete proof: Democrats and their operatives were far and away more involved in voter intimidation, fraud, suppression and, yes, disenfranchisement, than Republicans. It's not even close. But don't take our word for it liberals, read the 368-page report by the non-partisan American Center for Voting Rights yourself.

The mission statement on the American Center for Voting Rights web site describes the organization in the following manner:

The American Center For Voting Rights (ACVR) was founded in February 2005 to protect the election process and zealously guard the constitutional right of all citizens to participate in deciding elections in a fair and equal manner free from discrimination, intimidation and fraud. ACVR will defend the election process through on-going civil litigation. ACVR’s activities will include voter education concerning election law and the election process to increase public understanding and thereby confidence in the fairness and outcome of elections. ACVR will sponsor symposiums and conferences with prominent legal scholars and election officials to address ways to improve the election process and increase public confidence that these processes contribute to fair and honest elections. ACVR is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that neither supports nor endorses any political party or candidate.
And in the introduction, the report acknowledges that there are instances of voter fraud on both sides of the spectrum. But from this paragraph forward, the report basically rips Democrats up on side and down the other with well-documented cases of fraud, intimidation and suppression. Some examples:

    * Before, during and after the 2004 election, the Democrats and the Kerry Campaign mantra was that hundreds and thousands -- perhaps millions -- of voters were "disenfranchised" by Republican voter intimidation and suppression. It was a charge Kerry was still slinging around last April and was being leveled by the esteemed DNC chair Howard Dean as recently as June (and probably still):

“The Republicans are all about suppressing votes: two voting machines if you live in a black district, 10 voting machines if you live in a white district. … You know, the idea that you have to wait on line for eight hours to cast your ballot in Florida there’s something the matter with that. … Well, Republicans, I guess, can do that because a lot of them never made an honest living in their lives.” (7)
The problem with this charge is that the ACVR report found that it was bogus in every case. Dean, Kerry and the rest of the Democrats would do good to talk to the actual Democrats who were there, such as William Anthony the head of the Franklin County, Ohio Democratic Party and Chairman of the County Board of Elections. Here's what he had to say about the charge leveled by Dean, Kerry, Michigan representative John Conyers, Jesse Jackson and other prominent Democrats:

YES. A cursory check of the Liberal news media after every single vote. Try some independent research for a change, Wiki and DUmb underground don't count.
