OCQUEOC TOWNSHIP, Mich. — State police are investigating the discovery of a decomposed foot on a Lake Huron beach in Presque Isle County.
A resident called the sheriff's department Monday after finding the foot, encased in a sock and sandal, at the outlet of a small creek near the Hammond Bay fishery research facility.
State police Detective Ron Nightingale says investigators don't know how long the foot had been there or how it got there.
The Alpena News reports Wednesday that an examination performed by an anthropological forensics expert at Michigan State University has determined that the foot belonged to a man 35 years or older.

A sock and a sandal? The victim obviously wasn't from Florida. We make fun of people who wear socks with sandals.“Progress is Providence without God. That is, it is a theory that everything has always
perpetually gone right by accident. It is a sort of atheistic optimism, based on an
everlasting coincidence far more miraculous than a miracle.”

Socks with sandals-it's one of our own, or a canuck.
That's a nice stretch of Michigan coastline, though-the Huron shore is less crowded, more rural than the Lake Michigan side. There are lots of shipwrecks that you can take diving tours of in that area, too, if that's your thing.

Since it wasn't a running shoe, I don't think it's related to all the feet washing up in Canada. That means there are at least a couple of psychos out there.
