    It's bright and clear and about 13 F. We'll see a high in the low 40s. The Juncos have overtaken all my bird feeders for some reason.

    From time to time, it's a pleasant diversion to while away a couple of minutes waiting in line by thinking of silly but draconian laws that would be fun to see enacted. I'm not talking about the big issues of our time here, I'm talking about fantasy laws like outlawing lip liner that is darker than your lipstick or legislating a ban on plumber's crack.

    TOTD: You have the power to enact one silly but crucially important law upon your fellow citizens. What would it be? :D

    I'm on the mend from a pretty bad stomach infection that included a very high fever. Last week was not fun. I went out for a while Monday night after work & caught up on my gambling. I won, everyone wins, but I really do. Went back last night, won again, in fact, I won two hand pay jackpots five minutes apart.!

    The catfish here in the Southwest is not quite the same...

    One highlight of my Labor Day trip to Illinois/Iowa last summer was a "fish fry."
