#1 Salm: Dick Cheney should be tried as a war criminal02-17-2010, 09:58 PM
This could be right off DU but it isn't.
Dick Cheney is a war criminal. He belongs in prison.
“I was a big supporter of waterboarding,” Cheney crowed Sunday, on ABC’s “This Week,” adding, “I was a big supporter of the enhanced interrogation techniques … ”
“There is not a court in the United States or in the world that does not consider waterboarding torture. The Red Cross certainly does, and it’s the governing body in international law. It is certainly torture according to the UN Convention on Torture and the Geneva Conventions. The British government, America’s closest Western ally, certainly believes it is torture. No legal authority of any type in the U.S. or the world has ever doubted that waterboarding is torture. To have subjected an individual to waterboarding once is torture under U.S. and international law. To subject someone to it 183 times is so categorically torture is it almost absurd to even write this sentence.”
So, what do we do with this information? The former Number Two Honcho in the United States of America has bragged, in public, that the torture buck stopped, or at least paused long enough to be fondled, on his desk.
Here’s what we do with that information: We throw Dick Cheney in prison.
Why do they always look like that??? Remember that prick Jason Leopold of TruthOut "fame" ???
Same thing. A couple of angry impotent losers with a severe case of BDS
and they both hate VP Cheney.
And there's more!!!
Yeah, we tortured, and a lot of us feel pretty steamed about it, but we’re not going to do it ever, ever again.
At least, not as long as Obama is around. But once he’s out of office, if there’s another large-scale terrorist attack on the U.S., and if “24” is still on the air or has come out in a reasonably priced boxed set, all bets are off.May the FORCE be with you!

When are these morons gonna give up?"The efforts of the government alone will never be enough. In the end the people must choose and the people must help themselves" ~ JFK; from his famous inauguration speech (What Democrats sounded like before today's neo-Liberals hijacked that party)
SonnabendGuest02-18-2010, 06:25 AMe. The Red Cross certainly does, and it’s the governing body in international law
WTF is he smoking?
